SJØ Fillet of cod skrei, skinless, MSC-certified
Description
This is a product you’ll want to ask for at the service counter of the fish section at your grocery shop. This product comes from sustainable fish stock with Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification. “Skrei” is the Norwegian word for cod in migration. Along with burbot, it is the best fish of the winter season. The skrei fishing season is from January to April when schools of skrei migrate from the Arctic waters to their spawning grounds in the fjords along the Norwegian coast. Skrei is large-grained and pure-flavoured, retaining its fresh taste without any unnecessary cooking gimmicks. Typically, skrei is brawny with firm, white flesh. The boneless, skinned back fillet is the best part of the fish. No added salt. The salt content of the product consists of naturally occurring sodium.
